Redundant archive media

To generate copies of archive data on multiple archive media, you can set up redundant Archive drives:

  • You can configure parallel archive drives. The drives independently generate two copies of the data on independent SANS.

  • You can configure one archive drive with two SAN targets and configure them to be written in parallel. This is the recommended approach to duplication of SAN data as it avoids duplicate fetching and keeps the SANs in lock-step with regards to content and error handling.
