Configure parallel drives

You can set up redundancy using parallel archive drives. Two copies of the data will reside on independent media.

Procedure 

1. If using SAN, FTP, or EMC Centera media, go to Recording Management > Campaigns > Archive Media.

   If using removable media, go to step 3.

2. Create media definitions for the two target media. You can define SAN, FTP, or EMC Centera targets.

3. Launch Recorder Manager on the Archive Server.

4. Create a drive definition for one of the target media.

   If a campaign Collection of scheduling periods in WFM, which are defined time periods where specific employees target specific workloads. is selected, click the Manage Campaign Recorders button to assign recorders on which to run the campaign.

5. Create a second drive definition, specifying the second target media. The other parameters for the second drive should match the first.

   Any recorder assignments for the campaign should also be the same as for the first drive.
