Configure one drive with two media targets

You can set up redundancy using one archive drive with two fixed media targets written in parallel. This method ensures that the data duplication is exact with regards to content and error handling. Using multiple targets is not supported for removable drives.

Procedure

Go to Recording Management > Campaigns > Archive Media.
Create media definitions for each media target.
Launch Recorder Manager on the Central Archive Server.
Under Operations > Drives, create a drive definition.
In the Media Target(s) field, select one of the target media.
Click Add.
In the second Media Target(s) field, select the other target media.
Set the Multiple Device Write Mode to Duplicate.
Complete the drive definition as required for the deployment.
