Copy a server configuration

If two servers have one or more of the same server roles active, you can copy the configuration of one server to the other.

Procedure 

  1. Go to System Management . Under Enterprise, select Settings.

  2. In the Installations tree (left pane), select the server you want to copy (the source server).

  3. Click More Actions, then click Copy Server.

  4. In the Copy Server window, select one or more servers to receive the copied configuration (the target servers). Click the arrow to expand Site Groups and Sites if necessary.

  5. Click Copy. The Copy Server Results Preview popup screen displays.

  6. Review the information in the Copy Server Results Preview window. Click Confirm Copy to run the copy process.

    The configuration data copies from the source servers to the target servers.

  7. In the Copy Server Results window, click Close.

    When the copy process completes:

    • Manually verify the status of the component configuration copy process. Click the Configuration Status menu and then click View Message Status.

    • Review the Server Role Restart window (if it displays) for any services or applications that require a restart.
