Cisco Phone Services

The Cisco Phone Services Adapter replaces the Exec Record solution. The new Cisco Phone Services Adapter is a built-in feature of the Integration Service, providing the ability to perform a Contact Exec Record or a Contact Tag using the Cisco Phone Services API.

Procedure 

  1. Click General Setup > Integration Adapters > Settings.

  2. Click Create.

  3. Click Cisco Phone Services.

  4. Enter the following settings:

    Field

    Description

    Adapter Name

    Type a unique name for this adapter. Do not use any special characters or characters that truncate xml. This field is not case sensitive.

    Description

    Optional: Type a description of the adapter.

    Adapter Type

    A read-only field that lists the adapter selected above.

    Run From

    This adapter is run from the Text Integration Service.

    Startup Type

    Select a startup type: Automatic, Manual, or Disabled.

    DataSource

    Select an Application data source Third-party systems that provide data to the system, including employee and device states, and data change events. Typical data sources are phone switches, PBXs, or LANs. with a sub-type of Cisco Jabber.

    Listen Port

    Specify a Listen Port. This will be used to create an IP Phone Service in the UCM as part of the Service URL.

    Query Phone for DN

    Enable Query Phone for DN to use Exec Record by Extension. To use Exec Record by IP or Device Name, do not enable this option.

  5. Click Save.
