Unify (Siemens) OSCC Adapter

The Unify (Siemens) OSCC Adapter integrates the Verint Workforce Optimization Recorder with the OSCC Server. The adapter is defined in Recorder Manager on the Integration Service server.

Procedure 

  1. In Recorder Manager, choose General Setup > Integration Adapters > Settings.

  2. Configure the generic adapter settings prior to configuring the specific adapter settings.

  3. Click Create, then select Unify (Siemens) OSCC Adapter.

  4. Specify settings for this adapter in the right-hand pane, referring to the following table. All fields are required unless otherwise indicated.

    Description

    OSCC Server Host Name

    Specify the host name of the OSCC Server to connect to. The default is server.

    OSCC Server Port

    Specify the port number of the OSCC Server to connect to. The default is 6000.

    Local Port Number

    Specify the local TCP/IP port number that will be used to communicate with the OSCC server. The default is 6100.

    User Key

    Enter the User Key (login) dedicated to the Integration Service to connect to the OSCC Server.

    Password

    Enter the password dedicated to the Integration Service to connect to the OSCC Server.

    Business Unit Name

    For multiple independent lines of business environments (multi-tenant), specify the Business Unit Name. This is required as multi-tenant configurations use separate switch resources.

    Use Secondary Server for failover

    Select this check box to setup a backup server. This will enable the following five associated fields.

    Secondary OSCC Server Host Name

    Specify the host name of the secondary OSCC Server to connect to. The default is server2.

    Secondary OSCC Port Number

    Specify the port number of the secondary OSCC Server to connect to. The default is 6000.

    Secondary User Key

    Enter the User Key (login) dedicated to the Integration Service to connect to the secondary OSCC Server.

    Secondary Password

    Enter the password dedicated to the Integration Service to connect to the secondary OSCC Server.

    Secondary Business Unit Name

    For multiple independent lines of business environments (multi-tenant), specify the Secondary Business Unit Name. This is required as such configurations use separate switch resources.

    Enable SDK Debug Mode

    Click the check box to enable Unify client logs for debugging. Enable the option only for troubleshooting purposes.

    Note: It should NOT be enabled by default.

    OSCC Version

    Select your OSCC version from the drop down list.

    Tagging Only

    This feature indicates whether the adapter should only tag CTI data for calls that will be tracked by an additional adapter on the same data source Third-party systems that provide data to the system, including employee and device states, and data change events. Typical data sources are phone switches, PBXs, or LANs..

    This feature must be enabled for OSCC.

    For this feature to work, you must also:

    • Create a CSTA adapter and configure it such that it does not process agent events.

    • Enable the Process Agent Event setting.

    • Enable the Process Tag Event setting.

    Process Agent Event

    Select this check box to indicate that this adapter should handle agent events. Only applicable in conjunction with the Tagging Only option, above.

    Process Tag Event

    Select this check box to indicate that this adapter should handle tag events. Only applicable in conjunction with the Tagging Only option, above.

  5. Under Advanced Settings, use the Key and Value fields to enter any proprietary pairs that are in use in your system.

  6. Click Save.

    Select the adapter in the left-hand pane and click the Start button to start the adapter.
