Avaya ASAI using CVLAN
The following procedure describes how to create a CTI adapter for an Avaya switch using the Adjunct Switch Application Interface (ASAI) message set on CallVisor/LAN (CVLAN). CVLAN is the original CTI API that allows programs to be written using the ASAI message set.
Procedure

Go to General Setup > Integration Adapters > Settings.

Click Create.

In the right-hand pane, in Choose a CTI Adapter to Create, select Avaya CVLan Adapter.

Specify settings for this adapter in the right-hand pane, referring to the following table (all fields are required unless otherwise indicated):
Field
Description
Server Hostname
Type the hostname or IP address of the AES server. The default is server.
Signal
Type the number of the link to which you are connecting.
Use Backup Server for failover
Select this check box to connect to a backup server if the connection to the primary host fails (enter the server address information in the fields below).
Backup Server Hostname
Type the hostname or IP address of the backup server. The default is server2.
Backup Signal
Type the number of the link to which you are connecting in the event of a connection failure with the primary. The default is 1. Optional.
CVLAN Version
Select your CVLAN Version from the dropdown list: Version 8x or Version 4x.

Click Save.

Select the adapter in the left-hand pane and click the Start button to start the adapter.
